The Santa Fe New Mexican takes us for a ride on the bus along Cerrillos Road, a bus whose ridership in April was 14 percent higher than the previous year. Ridership is also up between Santa Fe and Los Alamos by 13 percent, and between Albuquerque and Santa Fe by 44 percent. Attributing the increase mainly to rising gas prices, both bus drivers and riders tell the New Mexican that the buses get more crowded by the day.
