With less than a week to go before the primary election, it is no surprise that much of the top news stories of the day comes because of politics and politicians.
The Albuquerque Journal gets philosophical on us and asks, "If a sitting president visits New Mexico and the only people who get to see him are those who shell out $1,000 or $5,000 in campaign contributions, does it still count as a presidential visit?"
Heather Wilson and Steve Pearce had a prime-time debate. The Journal, Santa Fe New Mexican and Associated Press all covered the debate.
The New Mexican reported on another disagreement between Ben Ray Lujan and Don Wiviott in the 3rd Congressional district. Wiviott wants to see Lujan's college transcript, while Lujan wants Wiviott to release his tax records.
