Former Bush speechwriter slams McCain's speech

Michael Gerson, a former Bush speechwriter and current Washington Post columnist, said in an interview with MSNBC's Ann Curry that McCain's policy in the speech was "very disappointing."  He related that McCain's focusing on drilling and school choice was a missed opportunity to reach out to independents on issues they care about and was largely speaking to the converted.
